...Emergency Room! To make a long story short, Vale was sitting on a stepping stool, put his little fingers in the wrong spot then tipped it over backwards crushing 3 of his fingers as the stool collapsed. He totally tore the skin off one of his fingers, and had pretty deep cuts on the others. They swelled up big and fast and were bleeding pretty badly. We took him to Urgent Care first but they were closed so we ended up in the ER. They took some X-rays and his bones and growth plates look fine and he didn't need stitches. Honestly, if I were a more "seasoned" Mom, I may not have freaked out so much. Although, when I laid him down to sleep tonight, it was nice to know he's going to be just fine. He just might be a guitar player after all!
When the Doctor came in to check out his hands Vale told him to, "go far 'way!". Luckily we had a GREAT doctor who was really good with him. When we left, he walked out with a stack of stickers and promises of M&M's, ice cream and chicken nuggets!
