We've learned that Vale doesn't like surprises. When it's nap time, bed time, time to leave the park, a friends house or anything else it's A LOT easier to say, "In 5 minutes it's time to...." or "You can play for 5 more minutes then...." The difference is night and day in how well he reacts. Every morning we call Jared at work to say 'Good Morning" (he leaves for work hours before we wake up). As usual Jared and Vale were talking this morning about what we were going to do today. Suddenly Vale says to Jared, "Daddy. Come home...5 minutes!"
