...everything Vale teaches me. Last week I was watching the CMA awards while Vale was flipping through books in the living room. Someone won an award and got up to give their speach. He started by saying what they all say, "I'm GRATEFUL for {something or someone} and THANK YOU to {wife for all her support}, THANK YOU to {my producer-couldn't have done it w/out you} THANK YOU to {my fans - you're the best}, blah, blah, blah..." I happened to glance down at Vale. He had put his book down and folded his arms - it must have sounded like a prayer to him. I'm grateful that he associates expressing gratitude and thanks with saying prayers. HAPPY THANKGIVING!
