Perfectly Ordinary Days...

We started giving Vale jobs to do around the house for money. I offered him .25 cents if he would go around the house and collect all the trash from the bins. He was THRILLED with the chance to make his own money!

He took his job seriously and even put on his "uniform" ... anyone who takes out the trash for .25 cents is a super hero in my book!

We took Vale to the park to test out his new glider plane.

They wanted to see how HIGH they could get it to fly!

Big brother helping little brother put his sandals on. Vale is the best big brother ever! Noah will always be very lucky to have him.

This was THE COOLEST thing EVER! Maple Valley Fire & Life put on a fair this morning. They had SO MUCH for the kids to do and try. The fire fighters were WONDERFUL and so good with the children. They had a little obstacle course for the kids. They let the children dress up like firefighters, hold a real hose, run around some obstacles (including saving a person!) and ...

... even use the fire hose to put out a fake fire! I think Vale may have found his future career and I'm not kidding. He loved, loved, LOVED every bit of it.

Oh! ... and they had a helicopter come and land for the kids!

The kids even got to climb in the helicopter and check it out.
They also had hot dogs/hamburgers, a bouncy house, a smoke house that taught kids how to escape a fire safely, rappelling firefighters, jaws of life demonstrations, Sparky the Fire Dog, a zip line with a fire basket to ride in, and so much more!
